LOCAL 122 RETIREE MINUTES
DECEMBER 9, 2011

Chairman Brother Jeunette called the meeting to order on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 11:25 am.

The Pledge of Allegiance was said after which a moment of silence was held for the recently deceased members; Joe Slechta, Jim Buttler and Larry Pruchenski.

The Chairman told the members that there would be a short business meeting followed by the Christmas Luncheon.

He next introduced Mike Burrows who is from the Financial Adviser Group of UBS.
He said that his partner in the firm, Larry Rhoads, was retiring and that he would be speaking about the financial out-look for the year to come. Larry said that the future of the economy is going to progress slowly very similar to what it was in 2011. Things are picking up but not fast enough.

Next on the agenda was our own Benefits Representative Brother Joe Guarino and he explained some of the things in the new agreement that will be pertaining to retirees.
No longer will we be receiving the Christmas Bonus and there were no increases in pensions. Medical benefits stayed pretty much the same however; everyone who has Medical Mutual of Ohio will be receiving new cards. He said "it is not sure whether the cards will be from Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Michigan which is now going to be handling health care for the Trust. (VEBA) He said that he told the Officers of the Retirees Chapter he was willing to have a meeting in January to explain this and other health care matter which effect all retirees.

Brother Guarino next introduced John Hersch from the UAW Legal Aid Program.
He said that due to the new agreement with the Big Three the Legal Program would continue until December 31, 2013. So he advised all members to take care of their legal matter in this time frame. Their office is still at the same address but they have moved to the 2nd floor. Brother Jeunette next asked the membership to make a motion to hold a special meeting on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 11:00am. A motion was made and seconded to hold a January meeting it was voted on and passed.

The winners of the regular Raffle were Linda Hicks, John Strohmeier and Mumphey Zeeroa.

Next were the extra Christmas Raffles.

The next meeting will be a special event to be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 11:00 am.

The next regular meeting will be held on Friday, March 9,2012 at 11:00 am.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:00 pm. Follow by the Christmas Party.
